In the Pursuit of Excellence–When buying jewelry from an independent designer, you are buying more than just an object … You are buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation, days and weeks and months of frustration, and those precious moments of pure joy. You are not just buying a thing; you are buying a piece of the designer’s heart, part of his soul, and a moment of his life. Most importantly, by buying the designer’s jewelry you are allowing the craftsman more time to do the one thing he is passionate about. At Owen Sweet Design we also do expert repair work, watch batteries, restringing, ring sizing, jewelry refurbishing, and replacing lost stones. We are located at 344 Corey Avenue, 727-392-6936. Behind the Garden Entrance–Catering to the customer who wants clothes for a busy lifestyle, Cottage Casuals by Pamela M is a cheerful, friendly women’s apparel store. Most are natural fabrics, made in the US and Europe, that travel, wash and fit. They buy in New York from manufacturers providing cuts and classic style with an edge. “We carry J’envie, St. James, Bianca, Barbara Wells, Lisa Todd and many other quality, casual clothing lines,” says co-owner Pam McMasters. “In addition, we sell Voluspa candles, Lucy B fragrances and creams, as well as purses, scarves and jewelry.” After closing her 20-year-old store, “Pamela M” in North Redington Beach, she was planning to retire. An outpouring of support from her customers and friends helped Pam decide to partner with her sister, Barb, to create Cottage Casuals. Pam has built her reputation on her keen product knowledge and honest approach to selling. Located at 350 Corey Avenue, 727-319-2088, they are open Tuesday–Saturday, 10am-5pm.
