What’s New on Corey Avenue – Downtown St. Pete Beach

The Coastal Cottage has opened at 300 Corey Ave., with an amazing collection of fantastic finds.  From one-of-a-kind pieces of repurposed furniture to hand-painted cabinet door knobs, they are the new home for over 40 local artists.  This shop has the makings of a true destination for all of Tampa Bay.  The owners, Jasmine and Vince Hunter have been in the business for over 10 years, and have loved the welcome they’ve received from residents and businesses alike.  Find the Corey Coastal Cottage on Facebook for a peek at the items and classes they are offering. 727-914-3538

Sue Sucholdolski’s Sunset Beach Shop just relocated from a quiet Treasure Island spot to 350 Corey Ave. Mostly eco-friendly products for beach living and handmade work of local artists are offered.  A great collection of gift items along with art, the Sunset Beach Shop is a welcome addition to Corey Ave. 727-410-1773

Modern Optics owner Chuck Eubanks has been in the business since 1983 and is certainly not new on the street, but he is excited to share his newest offerings in his independent optical shop.  Showcasing some of his high fashion frames for fall, Chuck has a collection of eyewear that will impress anyone in the market for a new pair of glasses.  “Some of the hottest frames in the industry are surprising my clients, and they are loving my iGreen line with all the bright colors and frames.”  Over 400 to choose from in that line alone.” When you’re in the area, or need new specs visit 415 Corey Ave. 727-360-2511

October also means events are back in downtown St. Pete Beach

The Corey Area Sunday Market returns Sunday October 7th 10am-2pm (and every Sunday through May) with fresh produce, local crafts/art and live music.  With 50-80 vendors in the market, there is always something for everyone.  Many of the shops and boutiques on Corey are open during the market  for your shopping pleasure.

Corey’s first Ocktoberfest event is taking place the weekend of October 21st & 22nd from 10am-8pm. Paragon Events, the folks who organized last spring’s popular ‘Seafood Festival’ is bringing the fun with live German music and dancing, traditional German cuisine, and of course “big, big pints of beer”.
