St. Petersburg Museum of History Downtown Summer Walking Tour

Join us on Wednesday, August 10th for our monthly Summer Downtown Walking Tour of St. Pete! The 90-minute tours explores the cultural history of downtown while viewing historic landmarks.

South Pasadena Sun Benches

The City of South Pasadena is excited to announce the addition of colorful benches throughout the local community called Sun Benches. The benches have been designed with a color pattern that represents the City’s logo. They are unique to South Pasadena and are sure to brighten up our streets and parks.  For a one-time cost of $400, you can sponsor a Sun Bench. With your sponsorship, an engraved plaque with your name and personalized dedication message will be added to the available bench of your choosing.

  • Pinellas County’s fertilizer ban runs from June 1st through September 30th. Increased rainfall during this period can cause nitrogen and phosphorus to reach bodies of water, causing a host of environmental issues such as water quality problems, fish kills, and other harmful effects. Here’s a Q&A sheet from the County.
  • Each Year CTK distributes over 65,000 pairs of new underwear.  The drive is designed to collect new underwear to help “underwrite” the cost of underwear.  All children deserve clean, new underwear.  For the months of July and August, Clothes To Kids will be collecting new packages of underwear. Click here to learn more.

  • The City of St. Pete Beach offers paddleboard rental stations creating a stress-free way of enjoying the water faster and without the fuss of toting a board around.   • Sea turtle nesting season takes place from May 1-Oct. 31 on Southwest Florida beaches. On nesting beaches, light from waterfront properties can disorient nesting female turtles and their young, which emerge at night and use dim natural light to find the sea. Also, beach furniture, trash and other obstacles can impede sea turtles and their young. Click here for the dos & don’ts of protecting sea turtles.
  • Mark your calendars for the 2022 Mad Beach Kickoff Tailgate on Saturday, August 20th! This FREE EVENT will feature live music, food vendors, tailgate themed vendors, local college alumni associations, cornhole tournament, and a field goal kicking competition.
