Late April, Mayor Larry Lunn of Treasure Island was the guest of honor at the Treasure Islettes Member’s Appreciation luncheon at the Bilmar. Mayor Lunn had the honor to install the newly elected Treasure Islettes Board, namely, Ms. Carol Lee, President; Ms. Diana Carbill, Vice president; Ms. Judy Koepkey, Treasurer; and Ms. Linda Gresik, Secretary. The event recognized all Islettes members who have worked countless hours during the past year to accomplish their club’s objectives. Each new board member was presented with bouquets of beautiful flowers from Sharen’s Flowers.
The Islettes was founded in 1955 to support community through volunteer service, beautification projects, scholarships and donations to the City, the Police and Fire Departments.
The Treasure Islettes meet on the fourth Monday evening of each month from September to May at the Treasure Island Community Center. The club is open to women who have an interest in the betterment of Treasure Island.
