Beginning April 16th, the Treasure Island Beach Trail will be under reconstruction. Currently, the trail is cracked and reconstruction is needed to improve its appearance and usability.
In general, work will begin on the north end at 119th Avenue and continue south along the trail until construction is complete in August.
Beach access will remain available, though less convenient.
The contractor will saw cut the trail starting on Monday, April 16 and will take approximately 2 to 3 days to do the entire beach trail. The following Monday, April 23, demolition of the trail begins, starting at the north end at 119th Avenue and progressing toward the south.
