Ye Mystic Kreme of Gasparilla is set to invade Tampa this Saturday, January 29th. At11:30am, the only fully-rigged pirate ship in the world, theJose Gasparilla will invade Tampa from the south end of Hillsborough Bay followed by hundreds if not thousands of boats. Picasso & the allure of the south opens this weekend at The Dali Museum in downtown St. Petersburg. Picasso and the Allure of the South explores the influence of southern Europe on Pablo Picasso’s revolutionary work. This ambitious exhibition considers the artist’s deep and abiding connection to this cross-cultural region, where he made many of his most important contributions to modern art.
