#2 Dunedin Pride Week

Dunedin’s PRIDE Week wraps up this weekend. This week-long celebration of events that support and embrace the LGBTQ+ community is presented by the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce and the City of Dunedin. The weekend’s events include a Drag Queen Bowling & Pre-party and Dunedin Pride Studio 54 Gay-Lah. #3 Historic Trolley Tour

Join the St. Petersburg Museum of History this Saturday, June 29th 9-11am for their Historic Trolley Tour of the Sunshine City ($45). Museum Director Rui Farias hosts this 2-hour trip through St. Pete’s past. Explore the historic waterfront, Driftwood & Roser Park, finishing with Coffee Pot & Mirror Lake.

#4 Recent Acquisitions at MFA

The Museum of Fine Arts St. Petersburg will be showing off their most recent acquisitions in a new exhibit opening this Saturday, June 29th. This exhibition features works added to MFA’s permanent holdings over the past four years. These objects range from the 17th century to the present, representing cultures from Japan, India, France, West Africa, and the US. On view til Nov 10th.

#5 Sophisticated Swing

Two of Tampa Bay’s finest jazz singers Fred Johnson and Theo Valentin delve into jazz standards and the Great American Songbook for an evening of “Sophisticated Swing!” at freeFall Theater this Saturday, June 29th 7pm. Joined by Michael Ross on bass, Patrick Bettison on keys, Ron Gregg on drums, and Henry Ashwood on Alto Saxophone. Presented by the Al Downing Jazz Association. $35.
