#1 PAVA’s 34th Annual Cool Art Show

PAVA’s Cool Art Show returns to St. Petersburg’s Historic Coliseum this Saturday & Sunday, July 22-23. This year’s show will include approximately 60+ Florida artisans that have been selected to exhibit in this impressive collection of both visual and functional art in the mediums of paint, wood, ceramics, photography, metal, glass, fiber, digital, mixed media and jewelry. It features professional fine artists and fine craftsmen who are extremely skilled in their chosen art. Free admission & parking.

#2 Tom Jones Artists Talk

Head out to the Museum of Fine Arts St. Pete this Saturday, July 22nd noon for their Artist Talk: Tom Jones in conversation with JoAnn Jones. In conjunction with his solo exhibition, Here We Stand, artist Tom Jones will engage in conversation with one of his earliest teachers, the first President of the Ho-Chunk Nation, his mother, JoAnn Jones. Free with MFA admission.

Head out to Gulfport’s Catherine Hickman Theater this weekend for Gulfport Community Players 21st Annual Summer One-Act Competition-a competition featuring 10 original short plays ranging from comedy to light drama. Selected from over 700 plays submitted. Audience members vote for their favorites. Tickets start at $20.
