1- Keep St. Pete Lit
Paradise News is a proud sponsor of this weekend’s 6th Annual SunLit Literary Festival April 1-3 around St. Petersburg. Keep St. Pete Lit is a collaboration with literary and cultural organizations to promote the enjoyment of books, reading, writing, and the classic art of letterpress printing. The weekend’s events include the 39th Annual Florida Antiquarian Book Fair, Poetry in the Park, 6th Annual SunLit Festival Kick-off Party “Where the Wild Things Are” and more. Click here for a full event schedule.


2- PAGWC Gardens by the Sea Dock & Garden Tour
PAGWC’s Gardens by the Sea is a dock and garden tour of eleven docks and gardens on the island of Vina del Mar in the historic St Pete Beach community of Pass-a-Grille. Two tours are open to the public, 3pm and 3-5pm this Sunday, April 3rd. Tickets prior to the event are $15/person. 3- Dunedin’s Annual Highland Games
Take a day trip to Scotland via Dunedin’s Highland Games this Saturday, April 2nd at Highlander Park in Dunedin. The annual festival that taps into this Florida town’s Scottish roots features pipe bands, dancing and competitive games and sports, like the tossing of the caber. Gates open at 8am. 4- Florida Botanical Gardens Spring Orchid Sale
The Florida Botanical Gardens Spring Orchid Sale is this Saturday and Sunday, April 2nd-3rd 9am-5pm.  Shop from a unique selection of vendors, including orchids, plants, candles, honey and more! The Botanical Bounty Gift Shop will be open with a variety of botanically-themed gifts and Florida Botanical Gardens merchandise for sale. Click here to learn more.


5- First Friday Art Walk
Downtown Gulfport will come alive with artists, musicians and art appreciators this Friday, April 1st for their monthly First Friday Art Walk. Free live music up and down the street.
