Pop Up Vaccination Sites Coming to Clearwater & St. Pete Beach
In an effort to make COVID-19 vaccines more accessible to frontline hospitality workers, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater (VSPC), Pinellas County Department of Health and Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association have teamed up with local hotels for pop-up vaccination sites offering free Johnson & Johnson vaccines. The first effort will take place in Clearwater Beach today, Thursday, May 20 from 8 am – 5 pm at four different hotels (See flyer). Vaccines are available while supplies last on a first come, first serve basis. The second pop-up vaccination initiative will take place next Tuesday, May 25 at St. Pete Beach/St. Pete hotels, including The Don CeSar, Sirata Beach Resort, TradeWinds Island Grand and The Vinoy.
FDOT Seeks Public Input
The Florida Department of Transportation is asking the Community to participate in the process and cast their vote for their favorite “sail” design that best exemplifies Tampa Bay.
The sails will be located along the four scenic overlooks on the new bridge. Voting will begin May 17th and run through May 31st and includes two options: the “Marconi Sail” and the “Schooner Sail.” Both designs are nautically inspired by the surrounding waters of Tampa Bay. The community can cast their vote at www.TampaBayNext.com. Click here to learn more.
