Tampa Bay Watch’s Bay Grasses in Classes

Earlier this month, Tampa Bay Watch’s Bay Grasses in Classes students shared the love—one plant at a time! After months of caring for smooth cordgrass, they finally got to see their hard work pay off. Students from LLT Academy South Bay joined us at MacDill Air Force Base to transplant an incredible 950 plant plugs!  These new grasses were planted behind an established living shoreline, giving them the perfect chance to take root and thrive while helping to protect our Bay. Huge thanks to these dedicated students for getting their hands dirty and making a real impact on our wetlands! Want to help Tampa Bay this winter? Sign up for an upcoming volunteer project at tampabaywatch.org/calendar/volunteer-calendar/.

Gulfport Senior Center Foundation’s Golf Classic Returns

For decades, the Gulfport Multipurpose Senior Center has been a trusted resource, helping older adults stay active, engaged, and independent. As our community’s senior population continues to grow, so does the need for a larger, modern facility designed to meet their evolving needs. The Gulfport Senior Center Foundation is committed to raising funds to support this much-needed expansion.

To help make this vision a reality, we are thrilled to host another Golf Classic at Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Our goal is to raise $50,000, with 100% of the proceeds directly supporting the capital building campaign. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and we invite you to be part of this exciting event. Thank you for your support in making a lasting impact on the lives of local seniors!
