The Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce announced which restaurants
will be participating in the 2022 Taste of the Beaches this October.

It is Gecko Ball Weekend!

Gecko Ball returns to the Gulfport Casino Ballroom this Saturday, August 27th! Gecko Ball is one of Gulfport’s most popular events, featuring music, dancing, a costume contest, silent and live auctions, the Gecko Queen coronation, and a cash bar! Guests are highly encouraged to dress in Game Night or Gecko themed costumes, or a combination of both!

Tickets are just $30/person GA or $40/person for group tables and available at http://geckofest.com.


Madeira Beach Nautical Flea Market

Mark your calendars! Madeira Beach is having a Nautical Flea Market at ROC Park on Saturday & Sunday, September 17-18th. If it’s nautical, you’ll find it there – all types of boating equipment, fishing gear, nautical antiques and artwork, scuba gear, beach attire, boat shoes, jewelry, motors, anchors, tackle, hard to find parts and manufacturer close-outs! Over 100 vendors will be selling new and used gear at great prices!

  • Sea turtle nesting season takes place from May 1-Oct. 31 on Southwest Florida beaches. On nesting beaches, light from waterfront properties can disorient nesting female turtles and their young, which emerge at night and use dim natural light to find the sea.
