Balls of Fire, Tampa Bay’s sports scene is SUPERNOVA HOT! From the Lightning winning the Stanley Cup to the Tampa Bay Rays’ World Series star turn against the Los Angeles Dodgers (Rays lost, but with dignity and accolades), sports fans could light their nachos on fire with all of Tampa Bay’s hot sports talent.
And then came Brady, star-kissed and shaking off his snow boots to join the Bucs as quarterback and brainy brawn behind so many of the winning games, including the NFC Championship and the first time ever in 55 years that a home team has played in their hometown SuperBowl. Go Bucs, bbq those Kansas City Chiefs and show off our newly acquired Vincent Lombardi Trophy. This is Brady’s 10th Super Bowl and despite the limited in-person attendance, America is fired up and Paradise never looked so appealing. (And by the way, Brady and family are planning a move from Jeter’s Tampa Bay mansion to our side of the bay, perhaps Clearwater Beach.) www.nfl.com/super-bowl
Super Bowl 55 fever is already here, from Riverwalk’s fan experience to the Feb. 7th celebration with the Weekend at halftime and Miley Cyrus entertaining 7,000 hometown healthcare heros as NFL’s guests at the TikTok fete. Tailgating will primarily be stayathome-gating, but the wild wings, dips, chips and beers will be many and merry. Add to the sports frenzy the upcoming Grand Prix St. Pete race and the rousing Rowdies, and it’s no wonder Tampa Bay is now a “NATIONAL SPORTS TREASURE”!
