Book Nook By Nanette Wiser

Ice Cream Delights: In “Zoey’s Adventures to the Ice Cream Shop,” the hit first story in the Zoey’s Adventures children’s book series, Zoey eagerly anticipates her visit to the Super Awesome Ice Cream Shop on National Ice Cream Day.  This beautiful, brightly colored, fun-filled adventure of the adorable, lovable, quirky Golden Retriever rescue pup Zoey is a super sweet tale that provides a valuable lesson for both little ones and grown-ups about patience and good things come to those who wait.  “Zoey’s Adventures to the Ice Cream Shop” is written by Ilene Lieber and illustrated by Scott LaFortune and Zohreh Riyahi.  A portion of book sales is donated to different animal charitable organizations quarterly.  Available on Amazon.

Devoted dog mom, entertainment publicist and first-time children’s book author Ilene Lieber is the owner of Passion PR Consulting, with a decade of communications experience (E! Entertainment Television, WOFL Fox 35) and former co-host of “Local Heroes Show” on WPRK 91.5 FM, a featured speaker at the SheKnows BlogHer17 Conference and awarded as a “40 Under 40” honoree by Orlando Business Journal.  A University of Florida graduate, Ilene is an animal advocate and lover, mom to Golden Retriever Zoey, the star and inspiration behind Zoey’s Adventures Books.

Best Friends: Former Sarasota author Jeffery Young is an award-winning writer and Army veteran whose career has included work in the culinary field and the newspaper industry. His new book, “Beth: Legacy of Love,” is the coming-of-age novel based on a true story of two best friends navigating high school in the late 1970s. Intertwined with a story of corrupt politics and government bureaucracy, “Beth: Legacy of Love” guides us on a journey of life-changing decisions and self-discovery by best friends Beth Davis and Marjorie Williams, both athletic and charismatic. Marjorie succumbed to the temptations of young adulthood while Beth found solace in Christianity. When Beth dies, Marjorie learns that the superficial nature of popularity and beauty are illusionary and ultimately finite. As a family and a community mourn the loss of her friend, the tragedy inspires Marjorie to move on with her life and embrace Beth’s spiritual calling.
