The St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club – America’s oldest and largest shuffleboard club – is turning 100 in 2024 and is inviting the community to celebrate together.

Festivities will begin on Saturday, January 20, with the club’s 12th Annual Tweed Ride – the most fashionable event on two wheels. This year’s event will be bigger than ever with hundreds of shuffleboarders donning their best festive tweed garb and riding their bicycles through downtown St. Petersburg.

  • Doors open at 2 p.m. with tea and scones
  • The police-escorted ride begins at 4 p.m.
  • Following the ceremonial ride, the party is on with dinner provided by Heavy’s and live music by Junco Royals and shuffleboard action.
  • Tickets are on sale now at StPeteShuffle.com.

The 100th anniversary celebration continues during the week with a special anniversary celebration starting at 6pm on Thursday, January 24 at the St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club. That weekend, the club is hosting the Sam Allen Memorial National Tournament from January 27-28, in which teams from around the country will compete.

The St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club is planning special celebrations throughout the year, including a Centennial Shuffleboard Tournament in October, with details to come at a later date.  To learn more about upcoming events, visit StPeteShuffle.com.
