The new Pier District and St. Pete Pier, previously scheduled to open on May 30, will now open on Monday, July 6 at 5:00 P.M.
Said Mayor Rick Kriseman: “It’s been a long and winding road, but we’ve arrived at our destination: A dynamic, 26-acre waterfront playground that will serve residents and visitors for generations to come. It’s time for everyone to experience all the Pier District and St. Pete Pier has to offer.”
The new St. Pete Pier District will be the ultimate place to stroll, bike, dine, drink, shop, swim, take in a concert and more. It’s more than just a pier, it’s an exPIERience. Additional information related to the pier’s amenities can be found at www.StPetePier.org.
Due to COVID-19, no organized mass gathering will coincide with the pier’s opening. To provide for the health and safety of the pier’s visitors, additional details related to a safe opening of the St. Pete Pier will be shared soon. For the latest Pier news and updates, visit stpetepier, org.
My husband and I got married at the B&B across front the Vinoy in July 5th 2003 and the pier was our reception! We’ve always come to the pier and it has special meaning for us! Pray we can continue new memories with the reopening and celebrate our anniversary!! Ellen & darron Lee
