“It’s ALL about training” says Broker/Owner, Bob Lhullier, referring to the pillar upon which Keller Williams has grown to become the TOP real estate company in the United States in three brief decades. “The Firm’s Philosophy puts God first, family second, then business…,” continued Team Leader / CEO Cynthia Gill pointing to a plaque that shows they believe it enough to post it on the wall in a conspicuous place.
“Training is a big part of it” echoes Gill, leading a ‘powerwalk’ through her freshly renovated 3,000 square foot offices across from the Corey Post Office. “Gary Keller was an educator,” says Cynthia. Turns out, Cynthia was too. She was a top corporate trainer, then led a top notch real estate sales team. “She recently came from a Keller Williams office in Orlando to take over the helm of the “grand-opening” SunCoast branch,” continued Bob, speaking respectfully about Gill. “The branch is predicted to grow from a present 38 to 90 agents by year end” according to Bob. Cynthia says 100 agents. “Thirty percent of our agents office with us. Seventy percent essentially work from home” Bob said. “Still, we are already looking for expansion space we may need as soon as next year. Most of our growth will be from new agents just getting into the business,” said Cynthia. ”Our model and systems attract high-minded and like-minded agents interested in growing their businesses.” “We’ll look at recruits either way,” says Gill, “It’s a matter of how people ‘fit’ with Keller Williams.”
The company supports its communities, and it’s own, as well. A 501c3 called KW Cares awarded $2.7 million to associates and their families in need. After tragedies, like the tornado in Joplin, Keller Williams takes a leadership role in helping people put their lives back together. There’s also a terrific emphasis on using technology. Buyers are on the internet, so Keller Williams has a computerized system that serves agents well.
One of the attractions is profit sharing. The firm that pioneered the concept of a true agent-shared broker profit announced $55 million in profits were shared by 80,000 associates in 2012, up 44% from 2011. Keller Williams celebrated becoming Number 1 in terms of size, plus JD Powers & Associates also ranked Keller Williams Number 1 in Customer Satisfaction, among BOTH home BUYERS and home SELLERS. Beyond that, it must be an incredible environment to work in. The company was recently named in the Top 10 of America’s Top 150 workplaces, the only real estate firm on the list.
“Our focus is on the quality of the agent and helping with their ultimate goal for their clients which is to provide their customers with world class service. We demonstrate this through our training, models, systems and the coaching we provide. ,” said Lhullier. “Everyone is invited to our Open House” – Saturday & Sunday, April 6th & 7th – 12 Noon – 4 pm. The Corey Spring Art & Craft Festival will be in full swing. Come take a look at our offices at 263 Corey Ave., when you take in the craft show.
