Simplifying Senior Housing Transitions

Many Paradise News readers are house rich. They are living in homes that have appreciated in value to the point that calls come daily, mostly from scammers “representing a local real estate investor” who want to make you an offer to buy your house. With costs of everything rising, many of those living on fixed incomes are tempted to tap the equity in the homes.

The biggest question on everyone’s mind is “When you live in Paradise, where do you go next?” Then “What do I do with all my stuff?” Wouldn’t it be nice if one of those realtors out there had a system for navigating seniors through housing transitions? Allow me to introduce Sandy Bartow.

Sandy says an unsolicited phone caller is definitely not the right person to sell your most expensive asset. A valued member of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, with 25 years of hospitality and real estate experience in Texas, upstate New York, Georgia and Florida, Sandy is well-versed in all aspects of real estate. Besides being an expert in listing and selling on all platforms, she is a relocation specialist focused on home transition services for seniors.

“Buying or selling real estate is one of the most personal and emotional investments we can experience in our lives. A home is not simply an address…it has a profound effect on our sense of well-being.

“My goal is providing my clients with a positive and unparalleled real estate experience. I work with a team of specialists to help seniors with the transition from single-family homes to senior living communities,” said Sandy.  “My services include the preparation and sale of the current home as well as providing resources, guidance and support for seniors and their families when identifying a new community to call home.

A senior living specialist will assess and accompany the client(s) to visit communities that fit their personal needs and desires.  A move management professional will map out sorting, distribution, packing, moving and unpacking.  When needed, an estate sales agent/appraiser will assist in the valuation and sale of items remaining after a downsizing plan is established.”

When not helping seniors transition or matchmaking buyers and sellers for the perfect home transaction, Sandy is passionate about involvement in the community. You might find her volunteering with Habitat for Humanity or Tampa Bay Watch, or engaging in fundraising, clothing, and food drives for the homeless and the mentally ill. Her efforts also support the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary, and our furry friends at the SPCA. Even golfing, which Sandy loves, is often tied to an event for a good cause.

Sandy brings transparency, professionalism, and enthusiasm to every transaction, priding herself on a personal touch approach, guiding both buyers and sellers through a process that can otherwise be complicated and overwhelming.  She is a proven negotiator and solutions-based professional who meets every challenge with a positive attitude and an open mind, with a goal of maximizing the bottom line for her clients on each transaction.

Her qualifications and certifications include Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and an extensive background in relocation.

If you are ready to consider your next move and are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and trustworthy local real estate agent to help you with your transition, contact Sandy today!
