Ready for OLLI? 2019 Classes for Seniors in Pinellas!

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), a non-profit educational organization, is based at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg.   Each year OLLI provides more than 350 affordable and intellectually stimulating classes, interest groups, local and international trips at multiple locations to expand and enrich the lives of its 1,600 members in Pinellas County. Designed for people age 50-plus and open to adult learners across Pinellas County,

OLLI classes include topics in biography, culture, film and television, Florida studies, history, theatre, science , visual arts, daytrips across the Tampa Bay area and selected international study travel.

The OLLI Winter 2019 Catalog of classes and activities for the CEC lists over 120 courses and activities held January – April.  

Among the many Winter Term classes offered are:

  • Homer and the Odyssey
  • Introduction to Qigong
  • The Art and Culture
  • of  Vienna
  • American Composers
  • God & the U.S. Supreme Court
  • Shakespeare in Music
  • Ernest Hemingway
  • History of the American Flag
  • India: Its People and Culture
  • The Rise and Fall of Ancient Greece
  • Three Great American Movie Musicals.

All are welcome to participate in classes and activities with or without membership, however OLLI annual membership for $59/ person provides class discounts and other community benefits.
