The secret is out. The cat is out of the bag, as they say. St. Pete Beach is the #1 Beach in the U.S. for 2021, according to Trip Advisor users, saying it was a great spot for watching sunsets and small group sailing. It’s not that we were keeping it a secret, what with naming St. Pete Beach the Sunset Capital of Florida a few years back. idea, Renee Roos. Our neighbor to the north, Madeira Beach, was also in the Top 10. That is all we needed. On top of four winning sports teams we have two Top10 Beaches. Wow.
The small group sailing marks likely have to do with long-time Paradise NEWS advertiser Dolphin Landings and the Morgan Yachts that were built locally and have sailed from St. Pete Beach for over 40 years, most any day the weather permits. It could also have to do with one of our newest advertisers, Salty Water Tours, who take private parties of 2-6 to experience the dolphins and seabirds, explore nearby islands and for custom tours.

They’re back this month. The story about how they successfully pivoted is inspiring. Sacino Formal Wear has also expanded their offering of top quality garment cleaning services. Now their business is picking up.
Despite the challenges of doing business and enjoying life in Paradise during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re lucky we can dine outdoors, walk some of the country’s best beaches and enjoy the weather, while safe distancing and wearing masks as long as we need to. Our local businesses have done a GREAT job following safety protocols; we need to support them.
