THE FAN ZONE
Chicken wings, hot dogs, bar bites and college/NFL specials make for happy weekends at the beach and downtown. Big screen TVs with a view of the great outdoors as a bonus makes us happy to hoist the Ḁag. Sea Dog Brewery in Treasure Island keeps adults occupied with corn hole and other games downstairs. Come by boat. Ditto for the Angry Pepper in Madeira Beach, where the patio and alfresco tiki hut serve some of the best pulled pork and craft beers in town. Two hotel bars not to be missed before the snowbirds return: RumFish Grill for the appetizers, live music and airy bar make for Sunday Funday and The Rowe Bar, where the living room ambiance and couture cocktails keep it light and lively.
HALLOWEEN
Halloween action kicks off the weekend of October 25th through the Day of the Dead around the beaches and downtown. Best 21+ costume viewing include Nova 526 (kinky/eerie), Caddy’s, MacDinton’s, Thirsty First, Five Bucks Drinkery, Jimmy B’s, Undertow, Swigwam, Bongo’s, Ka’Tiki, CJ’s on the Island, Ricky T’s, Gator’s Café and more.
