May Movies in the Park Announced

The much-anticipated announcement of the lineup for St. Petersburg Preservation’s May Movies in the Park took place last night in the Ale and the Witch courtyard. A huge crowd attended the party, where movie and band titles were announced through trivia games with prizes. The beautiful Movie poster by artist Carrie Jadus was also revealed.

Often called the “best little event on the waterfront,” Movies in the Park occurs each Thursday evening during the months of May and October. The evening starts with an hour of live music followed by a movie.  Guests bring blankets, low chairs, and picnics, or they can purchase refreshments from a growing cadre of vendors, most of them local favorites from the Saturday Morning Market. The event captures the essence of what people love about St. Petersburg – community, culture (and counter-culture!) and camaraderie.Purchase food & drink from our vendors or bring your own picnic. Bring a blanket or low seat (some folding chairs available). Free, secure on-site bicycle valet parking with the St. Pete Bike Co-Op.
