Madeira Beach Officials Welcome Art Exhibit & Host Public Reception

On Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m., residents, property, and business owners in the City of Madeira Beach will have the opportunity to engage City elected officials and leaders during an event unique to halls of government. “Reflections of a Blue Mind” is an art exhibit that will feature the works of local artist Amanda Pratt. The artwork, inspired by the world’s oceans, includes fluid and mixed media paintings.

“Amanda’s work portrays what makes Madeira Beach one of the most beautiful and popular communities on the Gulf Coast, bringing together the fluidity of the ocean with the calm of a tropical sunset,” said Lacy Lafave, Executive Assistant to the City Manager. “In the same fashion, we want to bring together the citizens of Madeira Beach with those who work on their behalf to promote this community as the best place in Florida to live, work and play.”

Pratt is one of several local artists that have taken up residence in the Madeira Beach area. The influx of creativity has resulted in Madeira Beach gaining a reputation as an artist haven. Pratt’s work has been featured in St. Pete Life Magazine, the Florida CraftArt Gallery, Tampa Bay Furnishings and the Community Cafe. Business casual dress is preferred. Light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres’ will be served.
