One of the secrets to the success and longevity of Paradise News as a publication and online media company is the quality of our advertisers. We have never had an army of advertising salespeople on the street or in a boiler room somewhere like some of our competitors. We do not want everyone. We prefer individuals and small local companies that can provide the custom services that our readers deserve. If we can help them save some money in the process, all the better.
Such has been the case with one of our longest running advertisers. When we told our readership ten years ago what Beacon Windows and Doors (aka SliderRepair.com ) had done for the Alden Resort, Lizette and Steve LaForge and their new slider repair teams stayed busy for a while. They have advertised in every Paradise News issue since. They presently have 373 Google reviews with an average of 4.9 out of 5. That is the kind of home improvement advertisers we LOVE to introduce to our readers.
Tommy the Locksmith is another example. A veteran with a career under his belt, he prefers to work business hours on weekdays, and has been advertising a simple solution to key issues in your life. We have embraced his combination locks around our home and have not been locked out since. Our son even got one that Alexa can lock or unlock remotely for him.
Window treatments wear out over time and styles and colors change, but to us here in Florida, windows are everything. We have been thrilled to give you a choice of several window treatment companies, folks that have years of experience in their industry. Budget Blinds has been with us the longest, and we have never heard a complaint about them. Service First Installers (aka The Shutterguy) offers and installs blinds, shades and shutters including new remote or Bluetooth controlled, motorized roller shades for the inside. The Shutterman is the guy to call about your storm shutters. If your windows need cleaning, Tim’s Window Cleaning will do that for you.
Most of us are a little space challenged, especially on the beaches. If you are finally looking to update and organize your storage, we are proud to introduce Tony from NewClosetToday.com.He can help you maximize your closets, pantry, linen storage, laundry room and more, adding beauty and value to your home.
Red Royal Electric has done several jobs around our home, from installing an electric car charger in the carport to wiring up our Hot Spring Spa. I have also had them do work for some advertisers in the past. I cannot recommend Michael Pasquino and his team enough for their professionalism. When I am ready to install a backup generator, or for any electrical issue, they are the ones to call.
We have not had a carpet supplier for a while until recently, and we are thrilled to introduce the family owned and run Oriental Rug Bazaar, the oldest in Pinellas, across from Ruth Eckerd Hall. They have a huge selection of imported rugs, many handmade that will last your lifetime and beyond. They also offer cleaning and professional repair, including pickup and delivery for Paradise News readers.
One of our newest advertisers is Rescreen Rescue, a small local service company that is celebrating ten years in that service industry, so if you need screen work, you will likely find them near our classified ad pages near the back of this magazine.
We are always hunting for a good HVAC company, plumbers, painters, kitchen and bath remodelers, tree service and landscaping, a pool installation and service company, someone for outdoor kitchens, paver installers and sealers, garage remodelers and more. If you have been happy lately with a service company you would like to see in Paradise News, you can help. Recommend they contact us and let us know directly you were happy with them.
