Life’s A Beach for Ron Goldstein

A cantor, a Sotheby’s real estate agent, bon vivant and singing actor, Chicago transplant Ron Goldstein is all this and so much more. He and his lovely doctor wife Dori have had a home in Tierra Verde for a few years, but in 2017, they gave up snowbirding and moved here full time.

The couple light up the town, enjoying everything from downtown St. Petersburg’s Sea Salt Restaurant and Farmers’ Market to St. Pete Beach’s Corey Avenue and Bongo’s Tiki Bar. In November, Ron has a starring role in Letting Go, a world comedy premiere of a funny musical about a serious subject (Music/Book Gil Perlroth, Director Patrick Brafford) from Nov. 2 -12.

The Gulfport Community Players have been delighting audiences for nearly 37 years. In our early days, shows were performed at the City of Gulfport’s Recreation Center. In 2001, the Players began performing at the newly opened Catherine A. Hickman Theater of Gulfport. Named after the Players’ founder, this 172-seat, ADA-compliant facility is owned and operated by the City of Gulfport. The theater is located at the intersection of Beach Boulevard South and 26th Avenue South in Gulfport.

Acting is a bug that has bitten Ron during all his careers and this is his first Florida performance. He’s been in many community and professional productions throughout Chicago, and honed his musical chops as well as being a cantor for 20 years while working for the last 17 as a real estate broker/waterfront specialist for Premier Sothebys. “Carpe Diem” is his motto in business & life and his Facebook account is both inspirational and witty as heck.

We caught up with Ron in between rehearsals and selling luxury waterfront homes as BeachHouseGuyFL.com.
