A Letter from St. Pete Beach City Manager Frances Robustelli

To the Community of St. Pete Beach:

In the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we find ourselves faced with an immense challenge—a reality marked by debris, damaged properties, and roads covered in sand. Our beloved community, known for its vibrant sunsets and welcoming shores, now bears the scars of not one but two storms. The devastation is visible, from homes and businesses impacted by flooding, storm surges, and wind, to the emotional toll this has taken on so many of our neighbors. While the tangible losses are significant, the emotional recovery will take time and a collective effort from all of us.

As your city leadership and management, we want you to know that we understand the gravity of this moment. We are here for you. However, we also recognize that this recovery will not happen as quickly as anyone would like. The path ahead will require patience, understanding, and a willingness to come together as a community. We are fully committed to utilizing every available resource to restore our city and rebuild the beauty we all cherish.

At this stage, we are working hard to clear roads and ensure safe travel for everyone. While some resources and assistance programs are already being set up, they are not yet fully activated. We want to be clear that safety is our top priority right now, and ensuring clear and secure access for you and your families is the first crucial step before other services can come into play.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we work through this process. The journey may be long, but together, we will see St. Pete Beach shine again. Our commitment to you is unwavering, and we will continue to keep you informed as progress is made. Please stay tuned for updates, and most importantly, take care of yourselves and your loved ones during this time.

Sincerely,

Frances Robustelli
