1) Over 20 divers from the Florida Aquarium, Green Gasparilla, Calypso Dive and NAUI donned their wetsuits and air tanks to remove beads from Tampa Bay following the annual Gasparilla celebration in Tampa. The Florida Aquarium, in partnership with Project Coral, became the first to successfully spawn critically endangered pillar coral in a laboratory. 2) If you are looking for a new restaurant to try, check out at South Pasadena shopping center. Keke’s Breakfast Café opened this fall. Billing themselves as your Home Town Diner that moved to the city, they have been opening franchise locations around the state. The local ones in Largo and South Pasadena are owned by Vina resident Paul Wolfe, a contractor who built out many of the Keke’s around the state and decided to own a couple for himself. They serve breakfast from 7:30am and lunch from 10:30am-2:30pm daily.

3) Caddy’s is open on St. Pete Beach! Previously Silas Dents for almost 40 years, the iconic venue across from the TradeWinds Resort has been reborn with some help from Karns’ Construction.

4) La Panache, a terrific woman-owned specialty boutique located at 9524 Blind Pass Rd # 4, St Pete Beach is celebrating their 30th anniversary this month. La Panache is providing wine & cheese each Saturday in March. From 4-6pm. Halida, the owner, will style you to look your best. Call (727) 367-6188.

5) George Stone advised that the Miracle League just kicked off their season of baseball for challenged kids. A project of the Kiwanis Club of the Gulf Beaches, the Miracle League has existed for over a decade, instilling confidence in kids that really can use such a break. Thanks George for your love of baseball and the Miracle League.
