June 13th, 2020 Proclaimed Peg Kelley Day in St. Pete Beach

City of St. Pete Beach proclaims Saturday, June 13th, 2020: Peg Kelley Day. To help Peg celebrate her 100th birthday this Saturday, June 13th, 2020 the fire department and Vice Mayor Izzo will deliver the proclamation to her on her birthday June 13th at noon. The neighbors will be out wishing her a happy birthday along with a parade of cars.  The location for the drive by parade is 6680 Bay Street, St. Pete Beach 33706.  The more the merrier! 

PROCLAMATION by the City of St. Pete Beach

WHEREAS, Peg (Waldmeyer) Kelley was born on June 13, 1920 in New York City; and, WHEREAS, Peg married George Kelley on August 31, 1941. They moved to St. Pete Beach with their four children in 1963 and became members of St. John’s Catholic Church; and,

WHEREAS, Peg Kelley was very involved in her children’s schools through the Parent Teacher Association, and spent many years helping with the Gulf Beaches Elementary Annual Fish Broil.

WHEREAS, Peg Kelley shares her enjoyment of the outdoors boating, swimming, and water skiing with her family and three grandchildren.

WHEREAS, The City of St. Pete Beach honors Peg Kelley on her 100th Birthday.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Alan Johnson, Mayor of St. Pete Beach, Florida on behalf of the St. Pete Beach City Commission proclaim June 13, 2020: “PEG KELLEY DAY.”
