Are you ready for the 2021 Hurricane Season?
The second annual Barrier Islands Hurricane Preparedness Summit on May 19 will help you prepare for before, during and after a storm. The event will be held at Madeira Beach City Hall, 300 Municipal Drive, Madeira Beach and virtually on Zoom. The in-person venue will have limited attendance, so register to hold your place. An overflow area will be provided as well.
Panelists and speakers from the beaches will talk about personal and home preparation, evacuation procedures, shelter options, special needs, and insurance considerations before, during and after a storm.
Panelists include representatives from Pinellas County Emergency Management, the Nation Weather Service, Local Law Enforcement, Local Fire Rescue, Public Works and an insurance industry expert.
In addition, subject matter experts and representatives from the Big-C will be on hand to address area specific questions and concerns.
