There have been a number of huge improvements in residential air conditioning technology in the last few years.
If you, like us, got the most efficient heating and cooling system available, yours is likely a 13 SEER split system, with the compressor outside and the air handler in the attic or a closet. As a replacement, you can get one like that, or, you can consider a ductless minisplit which allows you to control the
cooling room by room.
