With Halloween practically around the corner, travelers are researching the spookiest places to celebrate the holiday. Be sure to book a local Paradise Transportation & Tours for their haunted tour of downtown St. Pete.

HAUNTED GEORGIA

Travelers flock to Savannah, the Most Haunted City in the U.S., for Halloween. Visit Savannah has curated a list of the eight spookiest ghost tours in the city, including tours by trolley, on foot, and in an actual hearse, where you can learn about the most bone-chilling stories in Savannah’s history. The Savannah Underground, one of the newest attractions in the city, places guests front and center on a 360-degree set immersed in some of Savannah’s darkest tales reenacted right before your eyes. Book a haunted pub crawl or Genteel & Bard’s Ghost Encounter Tour of the Sorrel Weed House, Madison Square, Colonial Park Cemetery and more.

The Atlanta area offers many ghost tours, including Capturing the Spirit of Oakland Cemetery Tours, which bring to life the stories of some of the cemetery’s most notorious residents, Roswell Ghost Tours and Decatur Ghost Tours, both led by actual paranormal investigators, and Marietta Ghost Tours, a lantern-led walk with a compelling blend of history, storytelling, and the supernatural and paranormal.

Founded in 1904, Milledgeville has a rich history that comes with a side of spooky sightings. The city’s historic district is known for ghostly encounters at places like Memory Hill Cemetery to the infamous Homestead House; book the Milledgeville Ghost Tour of haunted tales and local legends. Featured in movies and TV shows (The Vampire Diaries), the town of Covington offers multiple walking tours around the town, many of which have been investigated by experts from The Atlantic Paranormal Society. Real and Official Covington Ghost Tours are led by experienced ghost guides.

The Windsor Hotel in Americus (est. 1892) offers a 45-minute guided tour highlighting a tragedy that led to the death of a woman and her young daughter. Guests of the hotel can sometimes hear a child’s footsteps and see the reflection of a woman in a mirror. The tour visits areas of the hotel not open to the public. Reservations are required and by appointment only.
