On pandemic hiatus in 2020, fans can enjoy the legendary concert series in a new venue at BayCare Ballpark, home to the Clearwater Threshes/Phillies through 2022 as the City of Clearwater builds Clearwater Jazz Holiday’s new Imagine Clearwater home in Coachman Park. Featuring local favorites like Gloria West and young artists, the festival serves up tunes for every taste: smooth and straight-ahead jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, jam band, folk, Americana, funk, fusion, Latin and more.
Get there when gates open if you want to hang out in Frenchy’s Tiki Pavilion for mixed drinks, beer and wine for guests 21 and over; first-come, first serve. In between acts, buy and get signed CDs and enjoy community booths with cool swag, ethnic food delights, beer and wine vendors. Come for the kettle corn and brats, leave your pets a home and bring your dancing shoes. Blankets permitted, but no chairs, folding or camp chairs allowed.
In addition to supporting the annual festival, the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Foundation delivers year-round innovative programs, exciting performance opportunities, special funding and creative learning experiences for people of all ages.
