Undercover Rasta was formed in 2016 by Paul Young and is based out of Palm Harbor, Florida. Our band won second place in the Best of the Bay contest due to our great fan support. The band consists of Paul Young – lead vocals, songwriter and guitar; Brett “Viking” Sharbaugh – bass; Howard Ingram – lead guitar, sax, ukele, backing vocals; Ric Sochor – drums; Doug “Doc” Hasell – harmonica; and Taino Puig – congas and percussion.
The band is made up of primarily “islanders”. Paul is from Jamaica. Taino is from Cuba. Brett is from the US Virgin Islands. Howard is from California. Doc is from Michigan (but recognizes Jamaica as his other home) and Ric is from South Carolina.
