Ikebana Annual Exhibition

Ikebana International Chapter #65 of Saint Petersburg will hold its 61st Annual Exhibition March 4-6, 2022 at the Treasure Island Community Center. Free and open to the public, this elaborate exhibition of Japanese floral design, known as ikebana, will feature more than fifty stunning flower arrangements, all created by members of the chapter. This year’s theme is Wondrous Wood. Those attending can expect to see many shapes, sizes and varieties of wood, from driftwood to sculptural branches, woven into the floral arrangements. Typically, in ikebana, the containers or vases in which arrangements are staged are ceramic, but this year expect to see many made out of wood, including a number of exquisite baskets created from bamboo or vines.
