Cars at Movies in the Park

The best “small” event on the waterfront – Movies in the Park – is back again this May! The evening starts with live music at 5:30 p.m. followed by the movie on the big screen at dusk. The fun takes place in N. Straub Park, between 4th Ave. & 5th Ave. NE at Beach Dr.
In lieu of charging for the event, please consider the gift of a donation or becoming a member of Preseve the ‘Burg online or at the event to help us continue our efforts to protect our city’s history and keep St. Pete special!
Come early to get your favorite spot and to enjoy live music from The Joint Chiefs and grab some food from the ‘Burg’s best food vendors. Beer and wine will be available, proceeds benefit Preserve the Burg and Jump for Kids.
Cars (2006) – While traveling to California to race against The King (Richard Petty) and Chick Hicks (Michael Keaton) for the Piston Cup Championship, Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) becomes lost after falling out of his trailer in a run down town called Radiator Springs. While there he slowly befriends the town’s odd residents, including Sally (Bonnie Hunt), Doc Hudson (Paul Newman) and Mater (Larry the Cable Guy). When it comes time for him to leave to championship is no longer his top priority.
