Empower! will be held at Sunken Gardens on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Founder Kim Skrovanek, says “EMPOWER! Is a hybrid between a women’s retreat, where attendees actually participate in the activities and an expo where you have the fun of shopping and discovering women owned businesses.” Attendees will be empowered through inspirational talks by amazing women, uplifting musical performances and educational demonstrations to inspire them to live their passions.
Empower! Women’s Summit consists of two parts. The first is the Expo which includes area businesses to discover and shop, as well as demonstrations and classes such as yoga, cooking, wellness, fitness and more. The Expo portion is FREE with Sunken Gardens admission of $10 and purchased at the door.
The second part is the VIP admission that gains attendees the access to the main-stage inspirational speakers, the expo and the Bliss Room with refreshments throughout the day and mini pampering services sponsored by Harmony Eco Spa. The line-up of inspirational speakers include, St. Petersburg Deputy Mayor Dr. Kanika Tomalin; Temple Hayes, an internationally recognized speaker, radio host, and author; Gisella Monclova, an author and internationally recognized opera performer; and Esther Solano, co-owner of Epic Boxing & Fitness who shares her amazing story of domestic violence survival and how she found her strength and transformed herself with a 145 pound weight loss.
