Drink Beer, End Violence: Florida Food & Brews Festival to Fund Violence Prevention

CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse), the largest domestic violence prevention center in Tampa Bay, has been selected to receive net proceeds from the Craft Beer and Wine Trail at LocalShops1’s Florida Food and Brews Festival 2019. Florida Food and Brews Festival features tons of great food and craft beer, plus shopping, live music and comedy. The event will be held 11am – 8pm Feb 23 & 24, 2019 at England Brothers Park, Pinellas Park, FL. Tickets and event info are at www.foodbrewsfestival.com.

The selection was made by First Party Coalition (FPC), the festival’s 501c3 nonprofit partner. FPC’s mission is to support nonpartisan causes that unite America. CASA’s domestic violence prevention programs perfectly fit that mission. Domestic violence knows no political, economic or racial boundaries and is one of the most pervasive problems in America today.

Club Savor, the innovative and rapidly growing dining club, is volunteering its time and expertise to organize the festival’s Craft Beer and Wine Trail on behalf of FPC, with event volunteer support provided by the Tampa Bay chapter of United Nations Association of the United States of America.

Florida Food and Brews Festival features local restaurants and food trucks offering dishes available for $5 or less, plus music performances, stand-up comedians, shopping and a wide selection of craft beer and wine. The Saturday, Feb 23 Music Showcase headlines The Bearded Brothers, Betty Fox Band, Holey Miss Moley and Geri X. Sunday Feb 24 Music & Stand-Up Comedy features Reno Collier, WildRoot, Johnny Bell, Dean Johanesen and The 24-Hour Men, Juanita Lolita and Rahn Hortman.
