Brett Funeral Home is the naming sponsor of the Third Annual Daystar Life Center, Inc. With These Hands Breakfast. The event takes place Wednesday, April 22 at St John Vianney Catholic Church, 445 82nd Avenue, St Pete Beach. The firm’s $2,500 donation makes it the first-ever naming sponsor of the event. Daystar Life Center, Inc. will present With These Hands Awards to the Isla del Sol Yacht & Country Club Play for Hunger fundraiser and the Juvenile Welfare Board’s executive director, Dr Marcie A. Biddleman, at the breakfast, which begins at 7:30 am with networking. The program follows at 8:00 am. Dr Biddleman will also be the keynote speaker. Dick Crippen, senior advisor to the Tampa Bay Rays, will emcee.
Daystar Life Center is a non-profit organization founded as an outreach ministry of St Mary Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. The agency provides basic needs to individuals and families in times of crisis. The volunteer-driven agency is a frugal steward of its resources so that it can better provide direct client services including: food, clothes clothing, local transportation, utility assistance, rent/mortgage assistance, prescription help, Travelers Aid, personal identification, hygiene needs, online benefits assistance, confidential and secure mail service, referrals for other services, USDA commodity food, haircuts, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).
