As part of its anti-cybercrime campaign, the Florida SBDC will host its first Tampa Bay workshop on Friday, June 8, from 8:30 to 11:30 am at the University of South Florida Port Tampa Bay Building in Tampa.
With the theme of “Cybersecurity Basics for Small Business’” this new no cost workshop will provide the education and resources to protect any small business – up to 250 employees — and its customers, employees, and profits from cyber-attacks. The Byte-Size Small Business Cybersecurity workshop will cover four topics: Basic cybersecurity threats, security, remediation, and cybersecurity resources.
The event will also feature a panel of experts, including Robert Lindsey of Regions Bank; Adam B. Brouillet of Trenam Law; and Doug Stopper of Cyber Risk Consulting.
Foundation for these workshops and a key takeaway is a new in-depth resource guide, which offers user-friendly information to help your business become more cyber-secure.
All attendees should be prepared to sign-in and produce a government-issued identification card with the security guard while attending training seminars at the Port Tampa Bay location.
Parking is available in Visitor Parking & South Lots near the Port Tampa Bay Building.
