Entrepreneurial at heart, real estate broker Keith and his real estate agent wife, Tina Slater, were confident they could create a better real estate experience for their clients by opening their own real estate office. They co-own Coastal Home Advisors Real Estate.
“I’ve been in the real estate business since the 90’s,” says Keith. He owned a mortgage and title company in addition to a commercial and residential development firm before becoming a licensed Realtor in 2007. Keith’s experience is a huge factor in keeping the process moving once under contract. He is hands-on throughout the process and assists in all aspects of the transaction from mortgage to title and everything in between. As for Tina, she earned her real estate license in 1993 before blazing her trail in the corporate world as an advertising and marketing consultant. She joined Keith in 2016, and they haven’t looked back.
“Our commitment is to serve in the best interest of our clients and to support our agents with the tools and resources they need to be successful,” says Tina. “Our real estate brokerage business model easily adapts to the ongoing changes our industry is facing.” The location of our office was key,” says Keith. The office is strategically located in Dolphin Village between Publix and CVS in St. Pete Beach, which has 4,000 visitors/day. Coastal Home Advisors enjoys its fair share of activity. “We are thrilled with the walk-in traffic and have met a lot of homeowners from the area as well as people who want to purchase a home, second home, investment or commercial property. Some just stop in to chat about the market and our office,” says Keith.
“We go through about 600 property flyers/month” Keith continued. Coastal Home Advisors has printouts of local homes and condos for sale, as well as market stats with 24-hour access via bins outside the office. “We simply let people shop how they want to shop,” says Tina. They can come in our office to chat, take the printed information outside, or interact with our Window Vision touch screen. “They just call us when they are ready to buy or sell.”
