Celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month with WADA

In honor of the rich cultural tapestry woven by Hispanic and Latinx communities, WADA extends a warm invitation to join them in commemorating National Hispanic Heritage Month. This is a time to recognize and celebrate the diverse histories, cultures, and contributions that have shaped our society.

They are pleased to offer a lineup of events that embody the spirit of Hispanic heritage, and they welcome you to be part of these celebrations:

Latin Jazz Festival – October 6th and 7th: SALSA UNDER THE STARS! Join us for two nights of the 2023 Latin Jazz Festival and dance the night away with the soulful rhythms and melodies of Gilberto Garcia & The Latin Knights (Fri) and Dimas Sanchez & Afro Latin Jazz Project (Sat). Friday’s ticket also includes access to a roundtable discussion on immigration at 6:30p featuring community leaders, scholars and artists.

“Between Sea and Land” Film Premiere – October 14th: On October 14th, we are honored to present the Florida premiere of the award-winning film “Between Sea and Land”. This compelling film offers a glimpse into the lives of those residing off Colombia’s Caribbean coast, wrapped in a touching mother-son love story. Join us in welcoming the talented Colombian screenwriter and actor, Manolo Cruz, for this premiere. Following the screening, a Q&A session will provide an opportunity to delve deeper into the film and its themes.
