2- Go Shelling!
Thank you to the City of St. Pete Beach for sharing this weekend activity idea. Hurricane Laura has washed up a lot of shells onto our local beaches making this weekend a great time to go shelling. Remember when shelling don’t take anything that is alive and please leave spiral shells for hermit crabs to use as homes. Check the tides in St. Pete Beach here.

If you haven’t completed the census yet, take some time to complete it this weekend. As of early August, only about 64% of Pinellas households had responded by mail, online or phone. Florida lost $946 in federal funds for every person who was not counted in the 2010 Census – a total of $20 billion in losses, according to a recent report in the Tampa Bay Times. Completing the census is important to our county’s future. Fill it out at My2020census.gov/.
