Pasa Tiempo means passing time; a perfect description for a perfect place! You may have driven by this adorable ‘boutique-style’ hotel, as Proprietor, Sherry Andersen describes it, without actually ‘seeing’ this hidden treasure. It’s tucked away, secluded, and oh so inviting. Once you know it’s there and have experienced its idyllic calling, you will be able to find your way without any sort of compass.
Sherry Andersen hails from Chicago, Illinois, where most of her family still resides. About two years ago, she decided that it was time for a career change. As a sales representative for a pharmaceutical company for 15 years, she became disillusioned with the corporate structure, and wanted to escape its pressures, and escape she did, in grand style. The hospitality industry had always appealed to Sherry and this was just the right time to explore that option.
Upon reading that St. Pete Beach was the #1 beach destination for 2012 it became the Andersen destination too. Sherry would like to thank those who have been instrumental in achieving her dream; children; Taylor, Kylie, and Cole, the loves of her life; moral support of parents (and business partners), Roger and Nadeane Hruby, and Realtor, Bruce Carrington, who endured the ups’ and downs’ of the negotiating process every step of the way and was a huge part in finding just the right property; Pasa Tiempo.
A year and a half of later, the sale of a lifetime, closed on September 14, 2012. It was then that Sherry pulled up stakes and moved into the separate residence located right on the property. Always lovely in its own right, a facelift was needed to give it a modern look and feel, yet retain its old-world charm. That has been accomplished, and much more. This private Adults Only Waterfront Hotel includes 7 suites with kitchen and living areas and 2 spacious, homey rooms. Suites and rooms are all lovely, unique, and elegant; each with a character of their very own.
The social room is open 24/7, with complementary coffee, and delivered daily; fresh, savory and sweet pastries. Upon arrival you will also find your favorite red or white wine ready for popping, and a copy of the latest edition of Paradise News. The pool looks out onto Boca Ciega Bay. Courtyards with travertine walkways, lush tropical gardens, soothing fountains, and so much more, beckon. Gates are locked at 6 pm to help retain everyone’s privacy.
It is especially nice to know that Sherry lives on the property so you can enjoy / rest assured! Pampering in an exquisite natural setting that melts one’s cares away will surely and magnetically bring you back.
It’s truly the ideal place to wake up in the morning and fall sleep at night; passing time in your own private paradise!
When asked about future plans, Sherry told us: Already in love with the area, Sherry looks forward to 100% occupancy, being a part of the community, and growing the business through chamber events and marketing and referrals.
