Get ready to turn up the heat for the 24th Annual I Like It HOT! Festival on September 14 and 15. This year’s event is going to be hotter than ever before. The two- day family friendly event will take place at the Largo Event Center (6340 126th Ave N) in Largo. This hot n’ spicy food show is painfully delicious, big on flavor and cooked up to be one of the hottest events of the season.
The festival is Saturday, September 14th from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, September 15 from 11 am to 4 pm. Event admission and parking are free.
Specialty exhibitors will tickle your tastebuds as they bring on distinctive, breathtaking and dynamite offerings in the form of sauces, salsas, seasonings, rubs, plants, food products, gadgets, kitchenware, hundreds of mild to wild samples, food trucks, live music, contests and more.
Festival Alumni will be prepared for the traditional hot stuff contests, including the favorite vendor concoctions, the Extreme Lolli Lick-A-Thon (the hottest lollipop in the world, sponsored by Intensity Academy) and the jalapeno pepper-eating contest. New this year, organizers have added the EXTREME pepper-eating contest for those who want to take the heat to the next level. Amateur sauce competitions include BBQ and hot sauces as well as salsa categories. The competition will be fierce as contenders vie for the awards in each category. The event is also pet friendly.
