FloridaBeachBar.com is pleased to announce the 2015 winners of its 5th Annual Top 10 Florida Beach Bar competition. During the month of April, over 15,000 beach bar enthusiasts cast on-line votes for 268 different bars. Votes were combined with FloridaBeachBar.com’s beach bar ratings to create the winning list. Jimmy B’s Beach Bar of St. Pete Beach captured first place followed by Sharky’s On the Pier in Venice, and Bongos Beach Bar and Grille also of St. Pete Beach.
Jimmy B’s, The Golden Lion, and Racing’s North Turn are the only bars to make the list 5 years running. Shephard’s on Clearwater Beach, Flora-Bama on Perdido Key, and Boston’s on the Beach in Delray are previous winners who are back on the list this year. Caddy’s on the Beach, Sunset Beach, on Treasure Island is a first time winner of the Top 10 Beach Bar honor.
Voting was the most expansive to date, doubling the number of votes in the previous competition. Nearly 250 of Florida’s beach bars from a 100 different Florida cities received votes. Participating beach bars used local promotions, their web sites, and social media to solicit votes.
Thank you to all who voted and helped make this the biggest turnout since competition began 5 years ago. Special thanks to the Florida beach bar owners, managers, and staff who work hard every day to bring you this important part of the Florida lifestyle. You all rock; Trop-rock that is.
