Gulf Blvd. Repaving Project Begins This Week in Madeira Beach

The City of Madeira Beach and the Florida Department of Transportation have begun staging for the upcoming re-paving of Gulf Boulevard from 133rd Ave. to Tom Stuart Causeway (150th Ave.). Between now and Jan. 22, crews will place advanced notification signage along the route and install temporary traffic control measures.

The goal of the $1.9 million project is to improve public safety, traffic flow, and to maintain one of the primary roadways, which is also an emergency evacuation route, in the City of Madeira Beach.

The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of February. Residents, businesses and visitors should be aware that during the project there could be minor delays as traffic is routed around
construction areas.
